stories of

told through art, at Binalup for our first exhibition.

PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE

Over nine days from 10 - 19 April 2026, 16 contemporary artworks transformed the coastline of Binalup | Middleton Beach, inviting audiences to reflect on the cultural, ecological and historical significance of this place through sculpture and installation.

Sculpture at Binalup is a new outdoor sculpture exhibition celebrating contemporary artistic practice in dialogue with the unique landscape and layered stories of Kinjarling | Albany. The overwhelming community response to our first exhibition, through attendance, participation, conversation and feedback, has affirmed the importance of creating spaces for connection, creativity and truth-telling in our region.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our exhibiting artists, volunteers, community participants, partners and audiences who helped bring this vision to life.

We are now looking toward the future of Sculpture at Binalup, with aspirations to grow the exhibition into an ongoing annual event for the Great Southern region. To realise this vision, we welcome conversations with sponsors, philanthropists and supporters who share a commitment to arts, culture, community connection and place-based storytelling.

If you would like to support the future of Sculpture at Binalup, we would love to hear from you.

We acknowledge the Menang Noongar people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we learn, create, and share stories. We pay our deepest respects to Elders past and present, recognising their enduring knowledge, artistry, and cultural strength.

First Nations peoples are the first artists, storytellers, and educators, passing down knowledge through song, dance, carving, weaving, and painting for tens of thousands of years. Aboriginal people carry this rich cultural heritage, bringing with them deep connections to Country, community, and language. We honour and value the traditions of teaching and learning that have been shared through generations, and we are committed to fostering a space where these cultures and strengths are recognised and celebrated.

We are seeking local businesses to partner with us.
